Spring Season Lacrosse Registration additional information
Registration for the 2009 spring lacrosse season is now open.During the off season we worked hard to improve Mount Sinai Lacrosse and we hope you enjoy the up coming season. Many events from prior seasons will still be here, such as Lax day but we are working to add some new events for the players, such as specialty clinics and a chance for all of us to attend a Lizards game.
For those of you who have not heard Suffolk Youth Lacrosse joined with PAL forming a new Suffolk league called “Suffolk County PAL Lacrosse” (www.scpallacrosse.com”).I hope that with the administrative assistance PAL can offer that we do not have as many scheduling problems as we had last year. However, like ever thing there is some additional work for the Directors and parents to take care of.
Many of you have noticed that we recently got away from collecting papers waivers and registration forms.Unfortunately this year there are a few forms that every player must submit in order to be added to a spring roster.
1..Every child must submit a copy of their birth certificate to be attached to the final roster that I submit to Suffolk PAL.
2..Each parent must complete sign the Suffolk PAL registration form.Click here.
3..Each parent must read and sign the Suffolk PAL parent’s code of ethics form.Click here.
(All 3 of these documents must be included with the final roster that is submitted to the league. If any of the documents are missing Pal will not add the player to the roster. This will take place sometime between the 10th and 14th.The actual day, time and location to submit these forms will be emailed to all registered players as well as posted in the “coaches message board” on the home page once we have it.)
Another important step is for players to be registered with this site as well (the Boys Youth Site). The registration site is simply that, a site for us as a league to collect all the necessary information about the players and a method of collecting the fees. This site (youth site) is what is used for communicating information to the parents and players, such as events, practice and game schedules etc.In addition it is a great place for parents to post and share photos and videos of the players and games. We have purchased “unlimited” space on the servers for this site so go ahead add your pictures video for everyone to enjoy. You never know they may just end up on a future flyer.
Final thought. We are always looking for parents to help out.Even if you do not have lacrosse experience but you are able to assist please let me and/or your coach know.We are allowed up to 4 coaches per team on the field during games and I would love to see that happen for each team.
Well, I think that is enough for now.If I think of anything else I will add a new message to this section of the site.If you have any questions or concerns please contact me or any one of our Mount Sinai Lacrosse coaches. We are all here to help kids enjoy the game of Lacrosse.
